'Ian Baker-Finch is considered one of the most popular and engaging players in golf,' Tony Petitti, executive vice president and executive producer of CBS Sports, said Tuesday. 'His passion for the game and insight as a worldwide champion make him a perfect fit.'
Baker-Finch won 16 tournaments worldwide, including the 1991 British Open, and retired from full-time play on the PGA TOUR in 1997. Since then he has worked for ABC and ESPN as a golf analyst on all the major tours. He plans to compete on the Champions Tour in 2010, shortly after his 50th birthday.
