Bohn, the winner of last year's B.C. Open who finished 43rd on the 2006 money list, posted a nine-birdie, two-bogey round. He trailed five co-leaders by one stroke after 36 holes but moved in front with a 13-under 203 total.
Parker MacLachlin, a Nationwide Tour player and a second-round co-leader, shot a 68 at Pebble Beach and is alone at 205. Robert Gamez, who equaled the tournament's low round with a 63 at Del Monte, joined second-round co-leaders Michael Putnam (69), Arron Oberholzer (69) and Jim Thorpe (69) at 206.
'I made about a 20-footer on the first hole and that got me jump-started,' said Bohn, who with Oberholzer are the only two players who've shot under 70 in all three rounds. 'I hit it close on about 10 or 11 other holes, so I really didn't have any other long putts. I missed two short par putts, so I really could have gone low.'
Bo Van Pelt (65) and Scott Simpson (66) are tied at 207. Bubba Watson (68) and Harrison Frazar, who also shot 63 at Del Monte, are tied at 208. Defending titlist Nick Watney, who moved into contention with a second-round 65, shot par 72 at Spyglass Hill en route to a 213 total.
