The storm wiped out play Thursday and threatened Friday in the five-round,four-course event. There were just enough hours in between for an impressive dayby Watson, who’s trying to show there’s more to his game than his jaw-droppingdrives.
Watson still hasn’t won on the PGA Tour, but he showed off an improvedputting stroke and capitalized on wet fairways at SilverRock.
First-round leader Steve Bertsch was three strokes back with three others at13 under.
