Green Leads as Play Again Suspended

COOLUM, Australia -- Nathan Green was holding a two-stroke lead Saturday at the weather-plagued Australian PGA when the third round was suspended due to darkness.
Green was at 13 under through 13 holes when play abruptly ended. Robert Allenby, who won the Australian Open last weekend, and Nick O'Hearn were both tied for second at 11 under.
Three more Australians, Rod Pampling, Wade Ormsby and Steven Bowditch, were tied for fourth at 10 under.
Rain forced suspensions of both the first and second rounds on Thursday and Friday. The second round was completed earlier Saturday.
Allenby was one of the many golfers who complained after the siren sounded to finish play Saturday.
'I thought we could have played at least two more holes,' he said. 'I putted awesome this afternoon. I made a bad mental error on 12 but that was pretty much the only putt I've missed all day.'
Scotland's Sam Torrance only needed one more hole to complete his third round.
'Now we're back here at four in the morning to play one hole,' said Torrance.
