To be blatantly honest, I dont want to play like I did last year. I want to play better, Harrington said Wednesday.
Harringtons best finish in 10 events on the PGA Tour this year has been 11th place. He has missed three cuts.
But on the eve of the Irish Open ' a title he took two years ago and regards as his fifth major ' he said he hopes the work he has put into his swing will ultimately pay dividends.
What I always try to do is keep changing, keep improving and keep moving forward. Things have not settled down and I do need to have it sorted out in the next few weeks and I fully expect to have that done, Harrington said.
My strengths are definitely weak at the moment and they are definitely what won me three majors. So the whole idea is when you strengthen your weaknesses you go back over your strengths and make sure they are equally as sharp, he added.
