Hurst finishes fourth in season-ending event


ALBANY, N.Y. ' Australias Sarah-Jane Kenyon completed a wire-to-wire victory Sunday in the Duramed Futures Tours season-ending ILOVENY Championship and finished third on the money list to earn one of 10 LPGA cards for 2009.
Kenyon, a two-time winner this year, closed with a 2-under 69 for a three-stroke victory over three-time tour winner Mindy Kim (67). Mexicos Sophia Sheridan (69) was third at 4 under to move from 12th to ninth on the money list.
I was feeling nervous all day, but I managed to keep it going, Kenyon said. It was really nice to get off to a good start and I was fortunate enough to finish it out. Im very happy to come away with a win.
Teen star Vicky Hurst, a four-time winner in 13 starts this year, topped the money list with $93,107. Kim was second with $79,270, followed by Kenyon ($48,637), M.J. Hur ($45,137), Jin Young Pak ($42,368), Song Yi Choi ($38,349), Jessica Shepley ($37,705), Leah Wigger ($36,719), Sheridan ($34,397) and Kim Welch ($33,768).
