HENDERSON, Nev. (AP)—Cristie Kerr shot 4-under 32 on the back nine to lead theLPGA to the win Tuesday in the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge.
Kerr, Suzann Petterson and Natalie Gulbis combined for a 6 under on thefinal nine holes to win $300,000. Combined with their $100,000 purse from theopening nine, the women claimed the overall title.
Kerr had four birdies and no bogeys in her last nine holes, and Pettersenbirdied four of her final six to give the women their fifth victory in thetournament.
The PGA Tour team of Stewart Cink , Fred Couples and Bubba Watson finishedsecond in the made-for-TV event with $330,000. The Champions Tour team of JayHaas , Nick Price and Fred Funk —which led with a 9 under on the front nine—finished third with $270,000.
