Lucky Five Win LPGA Tour Cards for 2008


Futures TourALBANY, N.Y. -- Emily Bastel won the Duramed Futures Tour money title Sunday to earn one of the five 2008 LPGA Tour cards available on the developmental circuit.
Bastel, the 27-year-old former Michigan State star from Upper Sandusky, Ohio, earned $3,351 for a fifth-place tie Sunday in the season-ending ILOVENY Championship to finish with $59,779. She won twice in 19 events this year.
Allison Fouch -- second Sunday, a stroke behind tournament winner Onnarin Sattayabanphot -- earned $10,000 to jump from fifth to second with $50,128.
Mollie Fankhauser finished third on the money list with $50,128, Mexico's Violeta Retamoza Aguascalientes ($49,895) was fourth, and South Korea's Seo-Jae Lee Seoul ($48,493) was fifth to earn the final LPGA Tour card. Liz Janangelo ($45,084) finished sixth, and Brandi Jackson ($37,097) was seventh.
Sattayabanphot, from Taiwan, won her first professional title, closing with a 1-over 72 for the one-stroke victory over Fouch. Sattayabanphot had a 3-under 210 total on the Capital Hills Golf Course. She earned $14,000 to jump from 22nd to 11th on the money list with $31,951, Fouch finished with a 69.
