PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- A 64-year-old man aced two holes in one round Friday, beating odds estimated at 67 million-to-1. Tom Vilardo used a 6-iron on the 163-yard seventh hole and a 7-iron on the 123-yard 13th at the Riverwood Golf Club.

'It was awesome,' Vilardo told the Charlotte Sun-Herald.

Vilardo, who said he also had a hole-in-one 40 years ago, didn't see his first ace Friday. But he saw the second one. Playing partners Rick DeRosa and Dick Walton witnessed both shots.

Mike Burton, the head golf professional at Riverwood, said Vilardo's accomplishment was 'unreal.'

'To have one is unbelievable, two is just unthinkable,' Burton said.

Golf Magazine set the odds of two aces in one round in 2000.

Within three days of each other in June of 2002, Bob McQuillan and Tom Terrill both had a pair of aces. McQuillan did it at the Rock River Hills Golf Club in Horicon, Wis. Terrill did it at Aeropines Golf Course's Hornet Course at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, Va.

And in February 2001, Evelyn Tucci had a pair of aces at Crystal Lake Country Club near Disneyland.
