Miyase leads at rainy Taiheiyo Masters in Japan


GOTEMBA, Japan (AP)—Hirofumi Miyase shot a 5-under 67 Saturday to take aone-stroke clubhouse lead before darkness suspended the rainy third round at theTaiheiyo Masters.

Miyase had five birdies in a bogey-free outing. He was one of only nineplayers to complete the round after the start was delayed 3 hours because ofheavy rain at Taiheiyo Club.

Miyase was at 7-under 209 overall, while Daisuke Maruyama (68) eagled the18th and was a shot back along with PGA Tour player Ryuji Imada (69).

Japanese teenager Ryo Ishikawa was at 7 under with five holes remaining inthe third round.
