Parry said his swing wasn't 'pretty,' but was effective enough to hole a 6-iron from 176 yards for an eagle Sunday to win the Ford Championship at Doral on the first playoff hole against Scott Verplank.
'I've rung up the tour today and said 'Can we sort this out because there's no need for it?' ' Parry said in an interview with Australia's Nine television network.
'Sure my swing mightn't be all that pretty, but I get the job done,' Parry, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, said of the assessment. 'I've got the winner's check and there's a lot of other guys that swing it really good and they're down the road.'
Along with winning nine majors, Hogan was renowned for his endless pursuit of perfection and spent hours on the practice range honing the most envied swing in golf.
Miller won the 1973 U.S. Open, 1976 British Open and 24 events on the PGA Tour. He's a golf course designer and commentator.
