Pavin Closes Gap in Vietnam

HANOI, Vietnam -- Angelo Que of the Philippines shot a 6-under 66 on Friday to take a three-shot lead over Corey Pavin and three others after the second round of the inaugural Vietnam Masters.
Que had a two-round total of 136 in the communist nation's first professional golf tournament. Former U.S. Open champion Pavin had a bogey-free 68 Friday to join Jerome Delariarte of the Philippines and Boonchu Ruangkit and Thaworn Wiratchant, both of Thailand, in a tie for second place.
'I haven't been playing well for a long time,' said Que, who is ranked 122 on the Asian Tour Order of Merit. 'It's a good change that I don't have to check what the cut mark is this week.'
