Play suspended by darkness at St Andrews

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – Play has been suspended at the British Open because of darkness, so 30 players will have to finish the second round Saturday morning.

England’s Steven Tiley was tied for third at 6 under, but still has eight more holes to play before the third round. Amateur Jin Jeong of South Korea and Alejandro Canizares of Spain were at 5 under.

Louis Oosthuizen (WUHST’-hy-zen) of South Africa was the leader after 36 holes. He was at 12-under 132 after completing the second round in the morning before the winds picked up.
