Poulter Stricker withdraw from Zurich

NEW ORLEANS – Ian Poulter and Steve Stricker have pulled out of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Poulter, the sixth-ranked player in the world, withdrew Wednesday because of an injury to his left knee, while Stricker has an injured collarbone.

The injuries cost the tournament its two top-ranked players.

Poulter will be replaced in the field by Mark Hensby, while PGA Tour veteran Billy Mayfair will take over for Stricker.
