Preliminary Ratings Down for Masters


NEW YORK -- Preliminary ratings for the final round of the Masters were down slightly from last year.
Sundays coverage on CBS drew an overnight rating of 8.9 and an 18 share. Thats down two percent from a 9.1/21 in 2007.
National ratings were expected Tuesday.
Overnight ratings measure the nations 55 largest television markets. The rating is the percentage watching a telecast among all homes with televisions, and the share is the percentage tuned in to a broadcast among those households with televisions on at the time.
