Pressel Joins Wie Miyazato in Hawaii

HONOLULU -- U.S. Women's Open runner-up Morgan Pressel will play in the Fields Open on Oahu this month, joining Michelle Wie and Japan's Ai Miyazato.
The $1.1 million Fields Open is a new LPGA tournament at Ko Olina Golf Club to be played Feb. 23-25. The winner will earn $165,000.
'Morgan Pressel will be one of the bright young stars on the LPGA Tour and we are very pleased to have her enter our tournament,' tournament chairman Hidetoshi Yamamoto said in a statement Wednesday. 'We are confident that we will have an outstanding field.'
The event is sponsored by Fields Corp., a Tokyo-based maker of pinball-like games called pachinko that are popular in Japan.
Pressel, 17, finished second in the U.S. Women's Open when Birdie Kim made an improbable bunker shot on the final hole.
