Rhoden Back to Join Barkley Jordan Others

STATELINE, Nev. -- Rick Rhoden, the six-time winner barred from last year's celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe after earning a provisional Champions Tour card, is set to return for the July tournament.
The former major league pitcher finished 76th on the 2006 Champions Tour money list, missing the qualifying mark for this year's tour by one spot. Now, he's looking forward to trying to reclaim the Tahoe title against his celebrity buddies.
'That's where we all started playing real golf. It's kind of what made us better players,' Rhoden told the Tahoe Daily Tribune.
Rhoden is among the 78-player field in the $600,000 American Century Championship on July 13-15 in Stateline. He'll be joined by many familiar faces, including Charles Barkley, John Elway, Michael Jordan, Jerry Rice, Donald Trump and LaDainian Tomlinson.
