Rodriguez robbed at home in Puerto Rico


SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico –Police say golfer Chi Chi Rodriguez has been robbed inside his resort home in his native Puerto Rico.

A police statement says three men broke into his apartment, tied Rodriguez up and stole money and other belongings valued at half a million dollars.

The robbery occurred Wednesday morning at the Legado Golf Resort where Rodriguez lives on the south coast town of Guayama.

Rodriguez is the winner of eight PGA tournaments and has 22 senior tour victories.

A publicist for the golfer did not immediately respond to a phone message seeking comment.
