Wilson looks to break duck at Wales Open

NEWPORT, Wales – Oliver Wilson will look to improve his chances of playing at the Ryder Cup later this year when he tees off in the Wales Open alongside European captain Colin Montgomerie.

Wilson lies 12th in the qualifying money list which will provide five automatic places in the European side but is only around $120,000 behind Germany’s Martin Kaymer, who occupies the final qualifying spot with a host of leading events to be played over the next three months.

The 29-year-old Englishman has been paired with Montgomerie for the first two rounds at Celtic Manor, where the Ryder Cup will be staged.
