Forget about friendships and cliques. This week’s episode was all about putting up or shutting up. When you really look at it, there weren’t too many fireworks. If you’re Mary, you’re disappointed that you hit it in the bunker off the tee on the final hole because that ultimately hurt her chances. If you’re Renee, you look at the missed putt on the final hole against Fiamma that would have given her a spot in the finale. At the end of the day, it really came down to mistakes from those two players which sealed their fate.
Here are a couple of nuggets from this week’s episode that you wouldn’t have known unless you were out there with us. Enjoy!
Renee and Fiamma’s match actually went into a total of three playoff holes but we only had enough time in the episode to show the very last one. Both Fiamma and Renee made pars on each of the first two playoff holes until Fiamma went for it in two on the final playoff hole to drain a birdie putt and secure her spot in the finale of Big Break Florida.
Mary made it very clear in her night interview that if she had the choice she would have much rather played her 3 holes of golf with Fiamma instead of Jackie. Here are a few sound bites from Mary’s sit down interview that night on this topic:
“We both keep each other very loose. We don’t get pissy. We have fun, we enjoy the golf. If Fiamma’s out there we would be talking and we’d be enjoying ourselves. It was one of those things where I would have been more comfortable with Fiamma just hanging out with a friend playing golf.”
Had the two played together, would Mary have performed better? Maybe. Maybe not. What do you think? Leave your thoughts below.
