Rain Rain Go Away

The Buy.Com Tour will arrive this week at the Highland Springs Country Club, in Springfield, Mo., for the Price Cutter Charity Championship.
This is the 13th year the club has hosted the event, and if tournament officials are a little weary of the number 13, who could blame them?
At last years event, rain interrupted play all four days. The first round took 53 hours and 39 minutes to complete, and the event was ultimately shortened to 36 holes.
Steve Haskins was given the $81,000 first-place check on the merit of his two-day total of 13-under par, but wasnt given an official win. An event has to reach 54 holes to become official.
Haskins will be back with high hopes, weather permitting, of making this one legitimate. He did indeed get a win last year that counted, at the Ozarks Open, and has three top 10s this year, which places him 39th on the money list. He finished tied for 32nd last week.
This past weeks Fort Smith Classic winner, Todd Fischer, will look to make it two in a row and solidify his spot on the top 15 money list. It was his first ever victory on tour, and vaulted him from 16th to fourth with $116,820.
