With the recent introduction of its Adicross Tour line, Adidas is giving golfers a choice: between spiked and spikeless shoes, both of which are designed to allow for greater stability and flexibility as well as freedom of movement and lightweight comfort.
The spiked version of the Adicross Tour, which has a two-year waterproof warranty, features a new Puremotion TPU construction outsole, to enhance stability, and Plusflex technology for that desired flexibility and ground comfort to promote more force and power.
According to Bill Price, vice president of Adidas Golf footwear, the shoemaker’s low-profile, Thintech design works with the seven-spike configuration to optimize traction and enhance stability even more, no matter the course conditions.
The uppers are made of full-grain, aniline leather with a ripstop nylon saddle, and boast an ultra-light Cloudfoam sockliner for improved cushioning. And in an effort to be as stylish as they are technical, they feature a blucher toe with deco-stitch detail – and come in four colorways.
The Adicross Tour spikeless shoes employ the same waterproof upper but come with an outsole that features an X-shaped performance torsion bar in the midfoot that extends into the heel for added lateral support and stability.
Also, like the Adicross Tour, they are designed with an anatomical last that is made to provide enhanced volume in the forefoot for increased comfort and stability. The spikeless versions are available in two colorways and have that same two-year waterproof warranty.
