Paying homage to driver designs and materials from a long-gone era, Cleveland Golf introduced its Classic driver collection on Tuesday.
The titanium drivers have a design inspired by persimmon 1-woods which have largely disappeared from the game. The club face, the largest ever produced by Cleveland Golf, has a gold-colored strip in the middle of it for aesthetic purposes.
Like with its Launcher driver series from 2011, the Classic series uses the RightWeight Fitting System with different models based upon weight. The manufacturer produced models weighing 270 and 290 grams. The Tour model weighs 310 grams. As the weight of the driver increases, the accompanying shaft is designed for players of decreasing handicaps.
The Classic 270 and 290 drivers retail for $299.99, while the Classic Tour will cost $379.99.
