McIlroy switches to Nike Vapor irons at Dunhill

Apparently Rory McIlroy isn't done making tweaks to his bag.

After switching to a new Nike Vapor driver during last week's Ryder Cup, the Ulsterman was spotted with Vapor irons in his bag during the first round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

The Vapor Pro is Nike's first blade offering in three years, and the results were mixed for McIlroy in his first round. He made only one birdie en route to a 1-over 73 at Carnoustie that left him nine shots off the early pace.

McIlroy is no stranger to equipment changes, having swapped his Titleist gear for Nike clubs following a 2012 season that saw him win the PGA Championship and reach No. 1 in the OWGR. Now once again atop the world rankings and coming off a pair of major wins this summer, the 25-year-old is again tinkering with his weapons, albeit staying within the Nike brand this time around.
