Two of the most flamboyant names in the game are parting ways.
Ian Poulter tweeted Wednesday that he was leaving Cobra-Puma Golf after eight years with the company.
In the series of tweets, Poulter confirmed that he hadn't signed with a new sponsor yet, but details would be coming "very soon."
Signing with a new equipment company could prove more difficult for Poulter than the average Tour pro, however, because the new sponsor will have to accomodate his IJP Design clothing range.
Nike, for instance, demands it's staffers dress head-to-toe in their apparel.
Those looking for any hints as to where the flashy Englishman might end up could take a look a little bit farther down his Twitter timeline. For what it's worth, he loves the new Titleist golf balls, just don't ask him to spell it.
The New @titlesit golf ball is superb. Feels softer around the green, Solid off the tee. It's worth grabbing a sleeve to try folks.— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) October 15, 2014
