Stay True: Team Moore combines work, play in shoe

ORLANDO, Fla. – Ryan Moore wanted comfortable shoes that he could not only wear while playing golf, but for training and casual wear, too.

So he asked his brothers to make them.

Jeremy Moore is the president of True Linkswear and Jason Moore is the company’s creative director. They’ve put together a product line for 2014 that appeals to their most high-profile client.

“Everything in our product line is something that I’ve been harping on them for the last couple of years,” Ryan Moore said Thursday at the PGA Merchandise Show. “Jason really listened to me and said, ‘OK, let’s make all of these things happen.’ He did some amazing work.”

In his first week road testing the Lyt Dry shoe, Moore won the CIMB Classic in Malaysia this past October. He’s also impressed with the Lyt Breathe, a model which can serve multiple purposes.

“I work out in it every single day,” he explained. “I run in it; I go to the golf course and practice in it.”

The cross-training ability is important to Moore, who says he’s lost 10-15 pounds since beefing up his workout regimen last August, while also adding muscle.

“It’s kind of the ultimate travel shoe. It’s a shoe you can work out in on the road; it’s a shoe you can play golf in on the road; it’s a shoe that you can wear around casually. It’s so versatile. You can have one pair of shoes instead of three or four or five pairs.”
