Sunice rain pants keep golfers dry from waist down

The people at Sunice realize that keeping golfers dry from the waist down in soggy conditions is just as important as protecting their upper bodies. Which is why the Quebec-based company developed the Narooma rain pant some years ago – and why it continues to improve upon it, most recently by ensuring that it fits as well as its performs.

The performance attributes of this product are many, starting with the use of Gore-Tex as a shell fabric so the pant is completely waterproof. The liner is made of moisture-wicking material, so golfers can comfortably wear the Narooma as one layer as well as on top of regular pants or shorts.

It has a snap front and an elasticized waist in the back as well as side adjustment snaps, to provide a good fit. And a gripper waistband is designed to keep shirts from pulling up during backswings, while side zippers on the legs make it easy to take the pant on and off.

The Narooma comes in four colors – black, midnight (navy), camel (khaki) and charcoal – and is available in waist sizes from 30 to 44. But what truly distinguishes it, says Kathryn McClemens, senior product manager for Sunice Golf, is that the company offers inseam sizing on those pants available in the color black, from 27 to 33 inches.

“That way, we answer a golfer’s fitting needs while giving him or her superior comfort and performance,” she says.
