Group A: Phil Mickelson: If we learned anything at Royal St. George's, with Lefty anything is possible.

Group B: Charles Howell III: Appleby made one bogey in winning last year. Howell has made bogey avoidance an art.

Group C: Webb Simpson: White Course rewards  birdies and Simpsons makes a lot of them.

Group A: Phil Mickelson: Not sure he's the horse for this course, but he's the best player there.

Group B: Jeff Overton: His run here last year makes me think he can do it again.

Group C: Woody Austin: A sleeper pick. He's played well here in the past.

Group A: Brandt Snedeker: Had five straight top-25 finishes before the British and was T-16 here last year.

Group B: Davis Love III: Has not finished outside the top 12 in his last three starts.

Group C: Tom Watson: Watson is the pro emeritus at the Greenbrier, where the course is just long enough to keep him in it with a few good rounds.

Rob Bolton

Rob Bolton (7,348,289; 10th)

Group A: Brandt Snedeker: Hits fairways. Superb putter. Tied for 16th here last year.

Group C: Webb Simpson: Top-20s in his last five starts (including two majors). No. 1 on Tour in all-around.
