Getting 'Straight Down' to business

RSS

LAS VEGAS – You can’t miss the “Silver Bullet” when you walk the showroom floor where Straight Down camps out to showcase their wares. The 2009 Airstream was on-site in Las Vegas last month, taking a break from its typical day job. It’s one of two classic apparel event trailers (the other is a 1946 Spartan named “Big Red”) that Straight Down roams the country in to bring tournament participants a unique outdoor shopping experience complete with margaritas and even a cigar bar.

While the brand and their staff love to have fun and relax (the company is based out of San Louis Obispo, Calif.), Straight Down got straight down to business and showed me their newest apparel for the 2012 season.

Straight Down

My favorite thing about this laid-back line is their outerwear which consists of shells, fleece, and performance pieces. They have just as many good looks for men as they do for women. I’d be tempted to wear their performance gear everyday if I didn’t have to dress for the studio. Straight Down strikes when the iron’s hot as they continue to make the yoga wear trend fashionable both on and off the golf course.  So when you’re looking for that perfect-fitting, beyond comfortable, good-looking fleece for a cool morning tee time (or for just about anything), check out Straight Down.

This is the men’s Fairway pullover fleece with side pockets and suede trim detail on the collar. Bonus points: it’s made in the USA with recycled cotton yarn. Retails for $108 and is offered in seven colors including this indigo hue.
