Out of this world: TRUE sensei shoe now available

It’s one small step for golfers, one giant leap for shoe-wearers everywhere.

TRUE linkswear, a golf shoe company co-founded by two-time PGA Tour winner Ryan Moore, made available Thursday its TRUE sensei shoe online (www.truelinkswear.com) and at select retailers.

And what’s so out-of-this-world about the release of the sensei shoe is that it really is one-of-a-kind footwear.

When Moore won the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in October, he was wearing the shoe. What’s more impressive is that co-founder and company president Rob Rigg was also wearing the very same shoe on the very same day, while competing in a marathon in Portland, Ore.

“What a crazy and amazing weekend for our company,” Moore said after his win in Las Vegas.  “I really thought the novelty of Rob running a marathon in golf shoes would be pretty unique and would generate some buzz for our brand. Winning a PGA Tour event the same day just takes it to a whole new level. It really speaks to the comfort and versatility of these shoes.”

Moore has been wearing TRUE footwear for two years and Rigg had been training in the TRUE sensei for six months leading into the race in Portland – his first marathon – which he completed in less than four hours.

“As far as I can tell, I was the only person running in golf shoes at the marathon,” Rigg said. “The new sensei barefoot platform combines TRUE comfort with thoughtful design qualities tailored to long enjoyable days on the course, the trails or the road. The TRUE sensei is ideal for golf, running, hiking and, frankly, anywhere else life takes you.”

If that doesn’t send you to the moon and back, I don’t know what will.
