Moon completed her round Saturday while Materne returned to the course Sunday to complete three more holes. They hold a one-shot lead over non-exempt LPGA Tour player Erika Wicoff of Hartford City, Ind., and amateur Aree Song, formerly Wongluekiet, of Bradenton, Fla.
Moon, who shot a first-round 70 (-2), picked up five birdies and one bogey for a 138 (-6) and moved from tied for eighth the previous day to her current position. Materne was leading after the first round with a 5-under-par 67. She finished 15 holes Sunday, recording one birdie and the rest pars. Materne returned Sunday and parred 16, 17, and 18, and is tied for first heading into the final round. Both players will tee off at 10:20 A.M. today.
Song was leading at the conclusion of play yesterday at 7-under-par with one hole remaining. She returned this morning and double-bogeyed the par-4 368-yard 18th hole, sending her to second position. Wicoff, who was tied for 13th after the first round with a 71 (-1), fired a 4-under-par 68 yesterday. Her round consisted of six birdies and two bogeys.
