The BMW Championship will return to Crooked Stick in Indiana in 2016, the PGA Tour announced Tuesday.

The event was last played there in 2012, when Rory McIlroy won. It raised nearly $3 million for the Evans Scholars Foundation and was named the “Tournament of the Year” by the PGA Tour.

Crooked Stick also previously hosted the 1991 PGA Championship, 1993 U.S. Women's Open, 2005 Solheim Cup and 2009 U.S. Senior Open.

The 2015 BMW Championship will be held at 2013 host site Conway Farms outside Chicago.
