Bradley uses standard putter in Memorial practice

DUBLIN, Ohio – During Wednesday’s pro-am at the Memorial Keegan Bradley used a putter that wasn’t anchored.

Bradley, who has used a belly putter since he joined the PGA Tour in 2011 and became the first player to win a major with an anchored putter at the ’11 PGA Championship, said he was “just practicing with it” at Muirfield Village. He has been tinkering with the standard-length model for some time.

Asked if he planned to put it in play when he teed off for Thursday’s opening round Bradley said, “No, maybe, we’ll see.”

The U.S. Golf Association and Royal & Ancient agreed last year to ban anchoring beginning in 2016.
