Crowne Plaza Invitational delayed by weather

Play began at 11 a.m. ET, following a three-hour delay. A total of 1.3 inches of rain fell on Colonial Country Club Wednesday night and Thursday morning and PGA Tour officials will implement lift, clean and place.

The start of the PGA Tour’s Crowne Plaza Invitational has been delayed at least two hours because of inclement weather. 

The event is tentatively scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. ET, but lingering severe weather could push back the start time even further.

Defending champion Adam Scott’s new Round 1 tee time is 11:06 a.m. ET, while world No. 2 Jordan Spieth is set to tee off at 3:56 p.m., barring any other delays.
