PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Inbee Park's back in the hunt in a major.

Park, who a year ago became the first woman since 1950 to win the first three majors of the year, shot a 6-under-par 66 Friday to move three shots behind Brittany Lincicome at the Wegmans LPGA Championship. Park is the defending champion this week. Her 66 equaled her lowest round in a major.

“I feel like something is around the corner,” Park said. “Hopefully, I can do it this week, in a major. That would be great.”

Park finished fourth in her last start in a major, last month's Ricoh Women's British Open. It was her first top 10 in a major since she won the U.S. Women's Open last summer.

Park’s putter is heating up again. She needed just 25 putts Friday, though she didn’t need her putter at all on two holes. She holed out from a bunker for eagle at the 14th and chipped in for birdie at the first.
