AKRON, Ohio – Graham DeLaet withdrew from the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Sunday, citing the flu.
The PGA Tour announced DeLaet’s withdrawal at 10:09 a.m. ET, minutes before the Canadian was scheduled to tee off alongside Russell Henley in the final round at Firestone Country Club.
DeLaet’s 2014 season includes seven top-10 finishes, and he entered off a tie for seventh at last week’s RBC Canadian Open. DeLaet moved into contention with rounds of 67 and 69 this week, but faded after a third-round 76 that included a 41 on the back nine.

DeLaet is the third player to withdraw this weekend from the limited-field event, after Jason Day (dizziness) and Ben Crane (back) both pulled out Saturday.
DeLaet is still expected to tee it up next week at the PGA Championship, where he is scheduled to play the first two rounds alongside Gary Woodland and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano.
