Edoardo Molinari is headed back to European Tour Q-School after announcing Thursday that he has withdrawn from this week’s Dunhill Links Championship and the rest of the tournaments on his schedule because of personal reasons.
Unfortunately I had to pull out from @DunhillLinks and the remaining events for personal reasons. My next tournament will now be Q-School.— Edoardo Molinari (@DodoMolinari) October 1, 2015
Molinari, a two-time European Tour winner, is currently 154th in the Race to Dubai standings. Only the top 110 at the end of the year retain their cards for next season.
Molinari, who ended last year ranked 103rd in the world, has slipped all the way to No. 279. His best finish this season is a tie for 15th. He has 10 missed cuts and has two withdrawals in 23 starts.
It will be the 34-year-old’s first trip to Q-School since 2008.
