The European Tour announced on Monday the addition of new events in Thailand and India to its early 2015 schedule.

The inaugural Thailand Classic will be held at Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin on Feb. 12-15, one week before the new Hero Indian Open from Feb. 19-22.

The European Tour last held an event in Thailand eight years ago, the 2007 Johnnie Walker Classic in Phuket. Since opening in 2007, Black Mountain has hosted three Asian Tour events, including the 2014 King's Cup last January. A site for the Indian Open has yet to be announced.

The new tournaments anchor a three-week run through Asia that begins with the Maybank Malaysian Open in Kuala Lampur, which was been moved back from April to Feb. 5-8.

Both new events will be co-sanctioned by the European and Asian tours.

Following the end of the 2014 Race to Dubai at the DP World Tour Championship on Nov. 23, the 2015 season kicks off two weeks later at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa on Dec. 4-7. The tour will make three stops in South Africa before moving on to its traditional desert swing through the Middle East in January. The tour later returns to South Africa for three events sandwiched around the WGC-Cadillac Championship in late February and early March.
