Kaymer, who leads by five shots despite a 2-over 72 in the third round, will tee off with Fowler at 3:35 p.m. ET. They will be preceded by Erik Compton and Henrik Stenson, who tee off at 3:24 p.m. Playing in just his second U.S. Open, Compton will begin the final round tied with Fowler at 3 under, while Stenson is one shot further back.
Notable pairings include the 2:51 p.m. group, which includes both a current and former world No. 1 in Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy. Both men faded somewhat during the third round, with Scott shooting 73 and McIlroy shooting 74, and the pair will begin play 11 shots back at 3 over. Phil Mickelson, who is 5 over through three rounds, will tee off at 1:45 p.m. along with Brendon Todd, who played with Kaymer in Saturday’s final pairing but faded with a 79.
Toru Taniguchi will get the final round started at 9:32 a.m. as he looks to improve from a third-round 88, and he will be followed shortly after by Matthew Fitzpatrick, who will play his final round as an amateur alongside major winner Louis Oosthuizen. Set to make his pro debut next week at the Irish Open, Fitzpatrick will tee off with Oosthuizen at 10:05 a.m.
