Friday tee times moved up two hours at Match Play

AUSTIN, Texas – A cold front that is expected to sweep across the area on Friday has prompted officials at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play to move up tee times, with the first group heading out at 7:30 a.m. which is two hours earlier than originally scheduled.

Although the winds, which reached 35 mph on Thursday, are expected to subside on Friday, there’s an 80 percent chance of showers and possible lightning beginning at 7 a.m.

Friday is the final round of group play and the field will be cut to the top 16 players, but the schedule leaves little room to make up for delays with the round of 16 and quarterfinals scheduled for Saturday followed by the semifinals and championship match on Sunday.
