Harman riding adrenaline as he arrives in England

HOYLAKE, England – The last man to qualify for this week’s Open Championship arrived in Hoylake still riding a wave of emotion following his breakthrough victory at the John Deere Classic on Sunday.

Brian Harman clipped Zach Johnson at TPC Deere Run by a stroke to qualify for the Open and caught the charter flight bound for England reserved for players, caddies and families on Sunday.

According to his manager with Lagardere Unlimited, Harman had his passport and rain gear with him at the John Deere and had no problems catching his flight to play his first Open Championship.

“He has his rain suit and is running on adrenaline, (but) no clean clothes and no cold weather gear,” Jeremy Elliott said.

Harman planned to practice Monday afternoon at Hoylake and will be paired with Rhein Gibson and Hyung Tae Kim when he tees off at 5:54 a.m. ET on Thursday.
