Hero MotoCorp signs on to sponsor Tiger's World Challenge

WINDERMERE, Fla. – Hero MotoCorp has signed a four-year deal to serve as the title sponsor for Tiger Woods’ World Challenge event.

The tournament, in its 16th year and scheduled for Dec. 4-7 at Isleworth Country Club, will be called the Hero World Challenge.

The 2012 event was conducted without a sponsor, while Northwestern Mutual stepped in for last year’s event at Sherwood Country Club in California, the host site for the past 15 years.

For the first time, this year’s tournament will be available to public ticket-holders. The 18-man event will feature a $3.5 million purse. Zach Johnson won the 2013 event, defeating host Woods in a dramatic playoff.

Hero MotoCorp is an India-based company that is the world’s largest manufacturer of two-wheelers.
