Inkster: Sitting, watching is 'gut wrenching'

ST. LEON-ROT, Germany – Juli Inkster the captain remembers all too well what it feels like to be Juli Inkster the player.

When she sees things happen - like the morning foursomes match where Morgan Pressel and Paula Creamer lost a 4-up lead when Suzann Pettersen and Charley Hull birdied each of the last four holes - her stomach goes into knots.

“I’ve been there and I feel for them,” she said. "It’s gut wrenching."

“You’re out there, you’re living with them and there are sometimes I just want to go out there and hit the shot.”

“You know what, I’m glad I’m not, because I’ve got a ton of clothes on and I’ve been eating nothing but junk all day long.”
