Each week on GolfChannel.com, we’ll take a detailed look at the players who pounded the farthest and fastest drives on the PGA Tour. Here are the five most important distance-related stats from the 2015 Quicken Loans National.
Longest drive: Jason Kokrak and Ollie Schniederjans, 360 yards
Kokrak (T-18) and Schniederjans (T-15) both finished inside the top 20 at RTJ, with Scheniderjans doing so in just his second professional event following a T-22 at the Canadian Open.
Driving distance: Jason Kokrak, 319 yards
This was Kokrak's first top-25 finish since the RBC Heritage in April. In between, he missed five of eight cuts and finished no better than T-48. Dustin Johnson leads the Tour with a season average of 318.2 yards.
Carry distance: Jason Kokrak, 317.1 yards
Kokrak's length would better serve him if he could find the fairway more often. He's 11th on Tour in driving distance (304.9 yards) but 169th in driving accuracy (56.36 percent). Dustin Johnson also leads here for the year at 308.5 yards.
