Martin, Ilonen make moves up the OWGR

After his first career PGA Tour victory on Sunday at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Ben Martin is knocking on the door of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Martin's win jumped him up 30 spots, from 88th last week to 58th this week. That 30-rank jump is part of a larger move for Martin, who has vaulted himself up 99 spots from the end of 2013 thanks to three other top-3 finishes and despite missing the cut in 11 of 23 events over that span.

Mikko Ilonen, meanwhile, did sucessfully parlay his win at Volvo World Match Play into a place in the top 50. Fifty-second last week, the Finn now sits 37th, ahead of two European Ryder Cup players in Lee Westwood (43) and Ian Poulter (40) and one assistant captain in Miguel Angel Jimenez - in case you're looking for very early 2016 Ryder Cup roster implications. The win was Ilonen's second this year, following his success at the Irish Open back in June. American fans may remember his name from a T-7 finish at the PGA Championship.

The only change in the top 10 this week sees Jim Furyk and Sergio Garcia switching spots at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. Here are those top 10 in order: Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, Jim Furyk, Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Bubba Watson, Jason Day, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler.
