McIlroy after PGA win: 'I need coffee'


Rory McIlroy is getting pretty good at celebrating major championship wins, but it appears he feels the post-party pain just like the rest of us.

McIlroy held on in near darkness to claim the PGA Championship on Sunday at Valhalla Golf Club for his fourth major victory and second in a row after capturing the Open Championship last month. Following that win at Hoylake, he filled the trophy with Jagermeister, so there was reason to think he would find a way to celebrate his second PGA title in style.

With the Wanamaker Trophy much heavier - and roomier - than the claret jug, McIlroy was apparently still feeling the effects of his win after flying from Kentucky to New York late Sunday night:

While 2013 PGA champion Jason Dufner confirmed that the trophy can hold exactly 43 beers, it remains to be seen just how much licorice-flavored liqueur can fit within its confines.
