Rory McIlroy will be teeing it up next week at the Scottish Open, but before he heads to Royal Aberdeen, the world No. 7 stopped by Royal Liverpool Saturday to check out this year's Open Championship venue.
He tweeted this picture from his practice round.

In his last start, McIlroy missed the cut at the Irish Open, his only finish outside of the top 25 this season. The Ulsterman will join other headliners next week, including defending champion Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood at the Scottish Open.
McIlroy had yet to turn professional when Liverpool last hosted the Open back in 2006. In his six starts at the Open, McIlroy only has one top 10 (2010). Last year he missed the cut at Muirfield.
