The Washington Huskies women's golf team blew a late lead but prevailed in extra holes over Stanford to claim the national title. Here are the key stats from the epic final of the Women's NCAA Championships. Stats provided by the Golf Channel research department.

Washington

• Wins first team NCAA Championship for women’s or men’s golf in program history

• Claims seventh NCAA team championship in school history (last: softball, 2009)

• Entered week 13th in Golfstat rankings and was a No. 4 seed in match play (both same as Stanford last year, who also won the national championship)

• Second consecutive year a Pac-12 team won first title in program history and sixth different Pac-12 program to win NCAA team title in women’s golf

• Julianne Alvarez (19-year-old freshman) earned NCAA Championship clinching point, had a 3-0-0 match record this week and did not trail at any point in final match

• Wenyung Keh 19-year-old freshman) also went 3-0-0 in match play this week and did not trail after 4th hole in any match this week


Stanford

• Sixth defending champion to finish runner-up at NCAAs, first since USC in 2014

• Second runner-up finish in program history (2000)

• Would've been fourth program to win consecutive NCAA titles

• Senior Mariah Stackhouse finishes collegiate career with 5-1-0 NCAA match record (3-0-0 this week)

• Junior Casey Danielson (5-1-0) lost first match of NCAA career in final
