Open Championship star Paul Dunne was among the 27 players who earned their 2016 European Tour cards on Thursday.

Dunne, who shared the 54-hole lead at St. Andrews as an amateur, shot 10 under and tied for 13th at the 108-hole European Tour Q-School to lock up his card for next season.

The cut at PGA Catalunya Resort fell at 7-under 421.

Adrian Otaegui and Daniel Im shared medalist honors at 18 under. Among those who also earned a card: Marcus Kinhult, a 19-year-old amateur from Sweden who is ranked third in the world; former European Ryder Cupper Edoardo Molinari; and Chris Hanson, who graduated despite a final-round 78.

Dunne, who played college golf at UAB, was the first amateur since Bobby Jones in 1927 to lead the Open after three rounds. Since turning pro in September, he has a pair of top-25 finishes in three European Tour starts.
