Rain halts third round at Web.com Championship

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Heavy rain has suspended play during the third round of the Web.com Tour Championship

Play is set to resume at 4:20 p.m. ET.

Players were initially held in place, but eventually sent inside after a look at the radar showed the rain wasn't about to let up anytime soon.

Tournament official David Donnelly summed it up best when he described the look of the radar as, “a lot of green and yellow.” He conceded that “it would be a while before it drains down to where they could play."

The final group of Zac Blair and Derek Fathauer were on the 12th hole when the horn blew. Blair leads the field by a shot.
